Raw/Vegan Recipe for Mint Hot Chocolate Drink

Here is a delicious minty hot chocolate drink to help you keep warm during these cold winter months.

 

Vegan Recipe

For 1 cup of hot chocolate

1c of mint tea- recommended brand is Mountain Rose Herbs (1 spoonful of tea steeped in 1c hot water- tea leaves must then be strained)

1 spoonful of raw cocao

1 to 2 spoonful(s) of agave or maple syrup (caution: maple syrup creates a coffee-like taste)

a drop or two of vanilla extract

Put vanilla, agave, and cocao in cup, then add hot water. Stir thoroughly. Sit down to a nice book and drink up!

 

 

Raw Recipe

For 1c of hot coco

1c of room temperature water

1 spoonful of mint tea

1 spoonful of raw cocao

1 to 2 spoonful(s) of agave or maple syrup (caution: maple syrup creates a coffee-like taste)

a drop or two of vanilla extract

Put tea leaves in water and let it sit for 10-20 minutes. Strain water and put it in a high-speed blender. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend coco drink for 5- 10  minutes at high-speed or until desired warmth. Enjoy!
