Suggested Shopping List for Beginner Vegans/Raw Foodists- Part 2

Here is my second list for you all see. It mainly involves oils and sweeteners. Of course each one maintains the expected standard of healthy, fresh, and organic foods. Oils MUST be cold pressed or you will be spending a lot of money on oils without any real health benefits or nutrition.

  1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  2. Safflower Oil
  3. Grapeseed oil
  4. Sesame Oil
  5. Coconut Oil

  1. Dates (fresh or dried)
  2. Maple Syrup (a bit processed but still holds most of its nutritional value)
  3. Agave

There are a lot of different oils and sweeteners out there that enhance the flavors of your dish, but I am only suggesting very basic and necessary items that you need.

If you have any suggestions to add to the lists, please let me know in the comment area! Have a nice day!

Suggested Shopping List for Beginner Vegans/Raw Foodists- Part 1

Just recently, I was asked what I would recommend for them to buy as a beginning vegan. I was caught off guard and couldn’t seem to find an answer. So I am going to redeem myself and answer that question for all my readers to see. However, the list of necessary items is quite long, so I am breaking this list up into 5 posts.

Here is a list of must have spices and herbs (all organic and non-GMO of course!) for beginning vegans and raw foodists.

Must Have Spices and Herbs

  1. Himalayan or Celtic Sea Salt
  2. Ground Black Pepper
  3. Cinnamon
  4. Parsley
  5. Basil
  6. Oregano
  7. Thyme
  8. Cilantro
  9. Chili power
  10. Coconut Aminos
  11. Apple Cider Vinegar
  12. Garlic
  13. Sesame Seeds
  14. Paprika
  15. Turmeric
  16. Cumin
  17. Dill
  18. Nutmeg
  19. Cayenne

  21. Yellow Mustard

These are suggested spices, I am not saying that you must buy all of them. But in order to create highly flavorful and nutritious meals, you do need most of these spices.

Happy Shopping!

The Ultimate Drink for Replenishing Your Daily Electrolytes and Vitamins: Ultima Replenisher!!!

I have to admit that I was totally blown away by this drink. This is made with top of the line ingredients which means muchos dineros (FYI that’s Spanish for a lot of money). So of course I was sceptical in buying this product. But when I tried it, boy was I blown away! Now I can’t go a day without this stuff! It is so good! It is worth every penny! I love to drink this after a good sweat, so that I stay balanced and fresh! My brother who is 13 loves this and drinks it like soda. If you ever have a craving for a sugary soda, then pop this bad boy out and satisfy that craving with no regrets!

Ultima is a low-calorie, nutrient rich, and zero sugar powder that you add to water to help balance your electrolytes and vitamins. Containing sodium, magnesium, chloride, potassium, calcium, selenium, zinc, and phosphorous, this powder makes it easy and delicious to replenish your body! It is sweetened with stevia leaves so you get a sweet taste without the added sugar! 100% Non- GMO, vegan, gluten-free, completely natural, and recommend by doctors, yoga instructors, and many parents and children!

My personal favorite flavor of the four (there is grape, orange, lemonade, and raspberry) is grape. Lemonade and orange were my least favorite because the flavors tasted a bit off  and muddled. I LOVE to mix (I highly recommend that you explore with these flavors by mixing some together!) a scoop of grape and a half of scoop of raspberry together in a quart of water and drink it throughout the day. It is so refreshing.

I highly recommend that you try this cool healthy drink out! I rate this drink a 4 out of 5 stars!

Warning: If you are not used to the way stevia tastes (it is very, very ,very sweet!), then I recommend that you only use a quarter to half a scoop of powder for a cup of water. It will be diluted but still very tasty!

Buchi Kombucha: Fire- One of the Best Tasting Kombuchas Ever!

Fire Kombucha is SOOOOO GOOOD!

I have never experienced kombucha like Buchi Kombucha. Made with Kombucha, tea, mountain water, various juices, cayenne, and other spices, Buchi creates a drink so rich with flavor that it is shocking. It has the right amount to carbonation and a smooth initial taste. The real flavors appear in the aftertaste. Fire is an appropriate name for this  kombucha because it leaves a burn on the way down and warms your body from the inside out. Accompanied with the burn is a sweetness that envelopes the mouth. This Kombucha is a must have for all Kombucha lovers! Delicious and healthy- can’t get any better that that!

I totally rate this a 5 out of 5 stars! A must buy!

Sunchoke (Jerusalem Artichoke)- What Are They and How Do They Taste

The Jerusalem Artichoke, or better known as the sunchoke, is an interesting-looking root vegetable full of inulin, a carbohydrate that helps promote a healthy intestine due to its probiotic properties. It is a rich source of iron, phosphorous, and Vitamin C.

Sunchokes may look weird and distasteful, but it has the most pleasing taste and texture. When raw, sunchokes have this crisp crunch to it. The refreshing taste followed by a subtle sweetness is similar to the flavors of a water chestnut. When cooked, the sunchoke resembles a cooked potato, both in taste and texture.

I highly recommend you to buy these neat little veggies. My personal preference to their preparation is just washed, peeled, and cut into nice thick pieces. They are like sweet potato chips! Delicious!
